ong long ago in China, there were two girls called Ying Mei and Ching Le. They were twins. One day,
when Ying Mei went out to play, she let out a great scream. Then, Ching Le and all of the
neighborhoods around her house came out to see what was happening. When they came, they fainted.
The whole place was covered with mountains! “How will we ever go back to school?” sobbed the
children. “How can we ever go shopping again?” cried the adults. Just then Ying Mei and Ching Le
slapped their hands together. “How about making a wall together? That way we don’t need to hike.” The girls
said. “That’s a good idea!” everybody agreed.

First, they made a plan. Next they carried out some equipment’s from their home. Then they went into 2
groups. The adults and children. The adults did the left, because the left was trickier with more steep mountains.
And the children did the right. It took more than 100 weeks, but they kept on going. Everyday they did a half of
the part each. Then finally one day, they were finished.
From that day on, people walked on the bridge and called it The Great Wall of China.
